Hibernian Research Award
Funded by an endowment from the Ancient Order of Hibernians, these annual awards provide travel funds to support the scholarly study of the Irish American experience.
Please submit the following documents via email to email@example.com:
completed application form, (downloadable here);
a current curriculum vitae, including a representative list of your publications;
a brief description (limit: 1,000 words) of your research project, indicating the relevance of the research for Irish American Studies, specific resources and collections to be visited, and plans for publication.
Recommenders should submit letters directly to the Cushwa Center. Signed and scanned PDF copies may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, recommendation letters and other application materials may be mailed to:

All materials must be submitted electronically or postmarked no later than December 31.
Applicants will be notified in March.
Grant recipients will be asked to:
1) supply the center with a short report on the results of their research;
2) acknowledge the grant provided by the center in all publications which result from this research;
3) provide the center with one copy of any publication resulting in whole or in part from the grant.
