Former Cushwa Center director R. Scott Appleby and current director Kathlen Sprows Cummings, both regular Commonweal contributors, are the editors of a new anthology from Cornell University Press, Catholics in the American Century: Recasting Narratives of U.S. History. Together with Peter Steinfels, they will discuss the impact of Catholic faith and culture on both American history and the current cultural climate.
