Join the Medieval Institute and Saint Augustine Parish, South Bend, for a pilgrimage to Chicago to walk in the footsteps of Venerable Augustus Tolton (1854-97), the first Black Catholic priest to be ordained for the United States. Fr. Tolton is one of six current African-American candidates for sainthood.

Following the Medieval Institute's webinar series on pilgrimage, we will put into motion what we've learned by making our way to the Tolton Heritage Center at Our Lady of Africa parish in South Side Chicago.

Space is limited. For the latest information about reserving your seat on the pilgrimage bus, visit: medieval.nd.edu/news-events/events/2023/04/01/augustus-tolton-pilgrimage-to-chicago.
